Today's blog topic is about one of the evergreen debate topics on this planet earth….
I.e. Whether the use of social media is good or bad???

Well, in this post I would be sharing my thoughts and opinion on this topic and what I think about it… So let’s get started…

At first I would be discussing the good things about the social media and in the latter part we will go through the downsides of social media…

Good about social media?

Well, we see today in this era of 21st century, that many of us have social media apps installed in our mobile such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc..

Through these social apps we all like to stay connected with our friends and family members… Isn’t it?

Also, we love to share our thoughts, our achievements, our photos, our videos, or maybe some funny incidents that you would like to share and many more on these social platforms which I think is great.

What I also observed recently is that many of the small business houses have started to grow and receiving recognition through social media marketing which is one of the key components of digital marketing.

Which has indeed opened many career options in the field of digital marketing.

One of the things I like about social media is that it also provides a source of inspiration, which may be in the form of motivational quotes or even a small video. Also social media has been proven as a great tool in creating awareness of many of the social issues.

Another thing what I personally believe is that knowledge increases when we share it with others and this is want the main intention of this website too. And so we see that there are so many social media accounts that provide us with valuable information or share their experiences with the world. In fact, many of the shares on the social media are quite informative and knowledgeable.

Another fascinating fact I like about social media is that, how you can use it to find one of your old school friends and try to contact him/her. And many us in fact have used this as a tool to contact our old school friend.

These were the few advantages of social media I would like to share with you all. Now, let us talk about the evils of social media.

Bad about social media?

Whenever a technology is being introduced to mankind, it comes with its own drawbacks.

As the use of social media is growing exponentially, the crimes related to it is also seen grown. We may have witnessed too many of such cases related to defaming a particular person on the social media platform. This is also termed as cyber bullying.

And this may affect the victim's mental stress and can disturb his life.

Also, the cheap internet plans have been a catalyst for excessive use of social media, which has caused a medium of distraction and has affected many people’s lifestyles.

Nowadays, people are trying to find a real world in the virtual world of social media and this makes that totally disconnected from the actual world. And it’s a cruel reality…. This may be due to loneliness or maybe some other unknown reasons.

There are few users on social media who are concerned more about other people’s lifestyle and try to compare their lifestyle with them. And I think this will make him or her unhappy about its own life. Remember one thing that we all are unique.

Also, some nasty people out there use social media as a medium to create and spread fake news and sometimes we fall prey to this and forward this news unknowingly, so it’s our responsibility to verify whether the news is genuine or not. Remember not all we see on social media is true…

At last I want to tell you that, no doubt that the invention of the social media is truly amazing gift from technology, but it's in our hands how we use it as a tool to stay connected with your friends and family members and share happiness with the world.
